A Cozy Corner at Book Ends

On December 15th, No Fret Cooking was at the bookstore, Book Ends in Winchester, MA. We had never been to this store before but a friend recommended we check it out and we were glad we did! Its located right in the center of town on the corner of Main Street that can be seen from two directions is this fabulous book store. Besides a great collection of books, you will find lots of cards and unique gifts. A table was set up for us in a cozy spot in the store to put out books so customers could browse through and taste some samples from the book while listening to live music my husband played. A special thanks to Marilyn, the Events Coordinator for having us and to Paula and the staff for making us feel welcome. For anyone who missed the event, no fret, “No Fret Cooking” is available at Book Ends.

Vegetarian and gluten-free at the Herbal Path

On December 6th, No Fret Cooking was at the Herbal Path in Dover, NH. We set up a table displaying cookbooks, had samples, and Steve played live music from the songs on the CD’s included in the cookbook. As it was near lunchtime, customers were invited to sample vegetarian lentil stew and gluten-free pumpkin muffins, ask questions, talk about health while relaxing to the music. We had a great time talking to customers and staff about healthy eating. A big thank you to Marci and Ron for having us at the Herbal Path. Also if you missed us at the event, No Fret the store has copies for sale for your cooking and dining pleasure and for gift giving.Marilynn and Steve at the Herbal Path

Return to Robbins

On December 3rd, No Fret Cooking had a musical author event at the Robbins Library in Arlington, MA. It was fun to be back at the library where our girls spent much time reading and attending events, so this was the perfect setting for us. Steve played music from the CD’s as people sampled some treats from the cookbook as I talked about the book and answered questions. A great big thank you from Steve and I to all the many long-time friends from the area that came by that evening to show their love and support for us and NFC!IMAG0002

No Fret Team teams up at Lee Public Library

On November 26th, No Fret Cooking was at the Lee Library in Lee, NH to do an author event with a book signing and music. For me, this was a very special evening as we had two very talented people from the No Fret Cooking team with us. Joel, the artist who designed and painted the book cover and Erika my very patient content editor. If you’ve never been to this welcoming local library, it is worth the visit; it will totally transform your library experience. Many thanks to Sharon Taylor, Director of the Lee Library for having us and for including No Fret Cooking in your library of books!

Back at home — with banookies

On November 24th the No Fret Cooking duo found themselves back at home to do an author and music event at the recently re-opened Bestseller’s Cafe in Medford, MA. I so enjoyed talking about NFC with an audience that was into health and healthy eating as Steve played songs from the CD’s that came with the book. Robb made 3 recipes from the book for people to sample, banookies, spinach balls, and a bean dip. And what was great, was that he said he had all the ingredients at home! For us, this was an enjoyable, comfortable and special setting for our book and music event. The bookstore and cafe has lots of room, it overlooks the Mystic Lakes and receives much outside light but also as you relax and browse through the books you begin to feel the light and joy that Robb and the staff have created. We look forward to returning to the bookstore in the Spring and in the meantime, invite you to visit soon as there are lots of wonderful events happening.
