The Natural Food Exchange

Yesterday, Steve and I spent an enjoyable afternoon at our first Spring No Fret Cooking book signing of 2013 at the Natural Food Exchange in Reading, MA. If you missed our book signing, No Fret, the store has copies in stock of my cookbook.Natural_Food_Exchange_7 They also have some of the CD’s that can be purchased individually. If you live in the area and haven’t heard of this store, I highly recommend you check it out. This is an amazing store with a natural vibration, lots of natural lighting, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and an owner that is committed to helping her customers. You’ll find the store stocked with a wide selection of natural groceries, herbs, supplements, chemical-free body-care products, an extensive line of gluten-free products as well as the largest selection of alternative flours I’ve seen. I cannot wait to visit the store again when I’m next in the area!

The New England Food Show

No Fret Cooking was invited by BookEnds Bookstore in Winchester, MA to do a book signing in their Author’s Corner at the New England Food Show on March 11th.  As I waited for our badges, Steve noticed a large sign highlighting the authors of the day and their books; how exciting to see No Fret Cooking where everyone who entered could see! The Authors Corner was set up across from the Chef’s Corner where we could easily view a food demo and hear Regis Philbin speak. When no one was presenting, the TV screens continually rotated the authors of the day. If you’ve never been to a Food Show, I highly recommend it; you will find all sorts of food and beverage from established vendors to what’s hot and new on the market. It was a great day for us and No Fret Cooking and an honor to be invited; thank you BookEnds!

New England Book Festival Awards Ceremony

My cookbook, No Fret Cooking, recently won Honorable Mention at the New England Book Festival, and a cocktail party was given honoring all authors in the 2012 competition. The awards ceremony was held on Sat., Jan 19th at the Omni Parker House in Boston, MA where authors from all over the country gathered at the historic hotel that has been well known as a gathering place for famous authors. It was great to meet so many interesting authors. The pictures from the event just arrived and we wanted to share a few with you. We especially like the one of Steve and I taken next to the plaque that mentions Emerson and Hawthorne. Quite the honor for us to receive an award where so many of the greats were often seen.
