Kitchen Shoppe Culinary Adventure

We recently returned from a road trip to Pennsylvania, where No Fret Cooking was featured in a culinary adventure at the Kitchen Shoppe in Carlisle, PA. I planned a full course dinner menu that featured 9 recipes from my cookbook to be prepared by their Chef Tammy and her staff. Fifteen couples attended the evening event. My husband Steve, our daughter Wendy, and myself were also guests. What a treat to have my recipes prepared by someone else and served to us! As each course was served, Tammy demonstrated some of the preparations and how different equipment sold at the shop could enhance and speed the prep time. As courses were served, I talked about the recipes, why I used certain ingredients, their health benefits, told personal stories, and answered questions. Throughout the evening guests were able to enjoy live music performed by Steve. In between songs, he talked about his inspirations for writing music for certain recipes and answered questions. This was a fun and relaxing evening for guests as well as us! And a treat to present to a wonderful group of people all interested in healthy eating and with an appreciation for music. If you happen to be in the area of Carlisle, PA, I highly recommend the Kitchen Shoppe. They have a wide variety of classes and a beautiful store which features just about every cooking item you can imagine. Many thanks to Sue and all the staff for hosting a No Fret Cooking event!!!
